The Top Five Places to Visit In Indiana
1. Lucas Oil Stadium
Even if you don’t like football (or hate the Colts like I do!), Lucas Oil is a great stadium to visit. The retractable roof is impressive and the stadium is going to be the site of the Super Bowl in 2012!
Also known as Amish Country, this small town in northern Indiana has a lot to offer visitors. From the famed flea markets to handmade furniture and handmade food, Shipshewanna is a nice break from the every day hustle and bustle of life.
3. Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
Rated one of the best zoos for children in the entire country, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is the place to be in the summer time! The large, open exhibits with glass walls instead of fenced cages on many exhibits make you feel like you are seeing animals in their natural habitats rather than penned up.
Plenty of hands on activities keep the kids engaged and 3 onsite restaurants make lunch a breeze.
4. Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Home of the Indianapolis 500, this race track is a must-see for race fans and everyone else. Come to a race or just stop by and check out the museum!
5. Indiana Beach
If thrills are what you want, Indiana Beach is where you need to go. There are roller coasters, water slides and more. The park is close to Chicago, making it a nice quick trip to Indiana if you are in Chicago!
